I am a seasoned data scientist with 6+ years of management consulting, hedge fund and actuarial experience.

I am broadly interested in solving strategic business problems using data science, quantitive modeling and machine learning. Due to my background, I have developed a solid foundation in classical statistical analysis, and also acquired a keen sense of business acumen.

Past projects I have worked on including life insurance accelerated underwriting, cross-sell/up-sell, variable annuity hedging, mortality/lapse predictive modeling, survival analysis, real-time pricing, OCR information extraction, etc.

A lifelong learner and problem solver, I am always passionate about learning new skills and technologies to tackle the latest challenges.

I am a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries, a global professional organization for actuaries.

Interests

Apart from being a web developer, I enjoy most of my time being outdoors. In the winter, I am an avid skier and novice ice climber. During the warmer months here in Colorado, I enjoy mountain biking, free climbing, and kayaking.

When forced indoors, I follow a number of sci-fi and fantasy genre movies and television shows, I am an aspiring chef, and I spend a large amount of my free time exploring the latest technology advancements in the front-end web development world.
